Marengo Views is located in the peaceful seaside village of Marengo, Victoria, around five minutes’ drive from Apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Road.
A coastal walking trail also connects Marengo with Apollo Bay, making it possible to walk into town while enjoying views along the shoreline.

Explore the Marine Sanctuary

When conditions are suitable, the nearby rock pools are a rewarding place to explore, with crabs, sea stars and other marine life often visible around the reef. Snorkelling and kayaking are also popular in the area when sea conditions are appropriate.
Seals are often seen around the sanctuary, while dolphins and migrating whales may also be spotted offshore depending on the season and conditions.
From the house and surrounding coastline, you may also see surfers at Marengo Point, kayakers moving through the sanctuary and walkers following the Great Ocean Walk.

Great Ocean Walk
One of the advantages of staying at Marengo Views is having the Great Ocean Walk close to the house, with the coastal route passing through Marengo on its way west from Apollo Bay.
From the living areas, balconies and decks, you may see walkers following the coastal section through Marengo and around the nearby shoreline.
The Great Ocean Walk begins in Apollo Bay and extends for more than 100 kilometres along the coast to the Twelve Apostles, passing through forests, beaches, headlands and remote sections of the Otways.
You do not need to walk the full trail to enjoy it. From Marengo, you can join nearby sections for a relaxed morning walk, a longer coastal outing or continue west towards areas such as Shelly Beach.

About Me
Hey, I’m Max. Our family has been coming to Apollo Bay for more than 20 years, and over time this part of the Great Ocean Road has become a second home to us.
What started as family holidays in 2004 gradually became something more. We kept coming back for summer, winter, Easter and any excuse to head down the coast. Eventually, Marengo Views became our own place to slow down, spend time together and enjoy the ocean.
Some days I’m working upstairs with the ocean in front of me. Other days it’s coffee on the deck, watching surfers at Marengo Point, walking the coast or heading into the Otways. Marengo has a way of making you switch off.
When we set up Marengo Views, we wanted it to feel like a real home rather than just another holiday rental. That means comfortable beds, quality linen, a well-equipped kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, proper coffee and the practical things that make a stay easier.
Guests often tell us the home feels easy to settle into, and that means a lot to us. We keep listening, improving and maintaining the property because our family stays here too.
For us, the best memories are usually the simple ones — morning coffee on the deck, the kids looking out for seals or seasonal whales from the house, parrots dropping by, and dinners that run longer than planned.
